Exploring the Caves of France

France is one of the main cave diving areas of the world. It has been the place for many spectacular push dives, beginning with Jacques Cousteau exploring Fontaine de Vaucluse in 1955.

Lot and Dordogne region caves are the most visited, but represent only a fraction of the sites. There are over 20 000 known natural caves in France.

Divers of the Dark team heads to the regions of Herault and Ardeche to document the underwater realms. They will tell the story of a diver exploring the depths of the French underground.

The documentary will contain underwater footage rarely seen in diving documentaries. The British-Finnish team will take powerful lights and HD cameras to the deep and rarely seen parts of the crystal clear caves. The result is a story about enduring hours underwater, for something truly beautiful that every cave explorer is after.

Expected release during 2014.
